FuelCue Privacy Policy

Effective 22 October 2026

FuelCue is a timer that reminds you to drink and eat before, during and after your runs, on a schedule you set. It is made by Tom Graulus ("we"). This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: we don't collect any. Everything stays on your iPhone and Apple Watch.

What the app stores, and where

To work, FuelCue keeps a few things on your device only:

This information is stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone, and a copy of your plan (plus, during a Watch run, that run's start time) is kept on your paired Apple Watch. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. FuelCue has no account, no server and no cloud sync, and it does not store your information in iCloud. Like all app data, it can be included in your own device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup), which are under your control and encrypted by Apple. We have no access to them.

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone by the app itself. No push server is involved and nothing about your reminders leaves your device. The app asks for permission to show notifications. You can turn notifications, including Time Sensitive notifications, on or off at any time in iPhone Settings → Notifications → FuelCue.

Apple Watch and Apple Health

Your iPhone sends your plan to your Apple Watch, and your Watch tells your iPhone when you finish a run so your after-run reminders can start. This happens directly between your own devices, through Apple's encrypted Watch connection. It does not pass through us.

The iPhone app does not use Apple Health. When you start a run on Apple Watch, the Watch app uses Apple's HealthKit workout features to keep the run going with your wrist down and to save it. With your permission, it:

The app does not read any data from Apple Health.

This health data stays in Apple Health on your devices, under Apple's protections. We never receive it, and it is never used for advertising, marketing or data mining, and never shared with anyone. FuelCue does not write any other data to Apple Health. You can review or withdraw this permission at any time on your iPhone, in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → FuelCue (or in the Health app, under your profile → Apps), and you can delete saved workouts in the Health app.

What we don't do

The "About the guideline" page lists the sources behind the starting values. If you tap one, it opens in your browser, and that website's own privacy policy applies.

Purchases

If FuelCue offers optional purchases or tips, they are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, payment details or Apple Account information.

Deleting your data

Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to export or delete on our side. You can still contact us with any privacy question or request.

Children

FuelCue is not directed at children under 16.

Health information

FuelCue is a timer for the fueling plan you choose. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Please agree your fueling plan with your care team.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. If a change means the app starts collecting any data, the policy and the App Store privacy details will be updated before that version is released.
